Wondering if there would be any interest in trading a NTSC A1000 with mouse, keyboard, 8Meg expansion and IDE interface (Memory and IDE internal, IDE does not have the 2 wires soldered yet) for an A1200 or A600 in Canada or US?

Mostly want to play games using whdload, and PAL timing and chip ram limitations are causing issues for me.

System works fine, slight yellowing and the keyboard has a spot where someone used the wrong length screw and there is a small spot that is pushed up. Pictures can be provided later if there are interested people.

*UPDATE*

Here are pictures of the A1000

The damage to the keyboard is above the F1 and F2 keys. No physical changes have been made to the system. 2 wires need to be installed for the hard drive adapter to work, but have not been done yet. One of the wires running to the floppy LED is broken. The floppy did work the last time I used it, but its been over a year.

We are working on re-releasing the A1000 Rejuvenator which allows up to 2 MB chip mem. And your A1000 could have its oscillator swapped with a 28.37516 MHz PAL oscillator for more timing accuracy with PAL games/demos.

Alternatively, would you be interested in trading it against an A500 PAL version? You could keep the 8 MB/IDE expansion and use it with the A500. The only limitation that the A500 has compared to the A600 is 1 MB Chip mem (which arguably is important for WHD Load - the more the better). Both the A600 and A500 are Vampire compatible if you want to go that route one day.

As Christian stated -- any interest in a 500? I would be willing to swap one with an updated Denise so you could switch between PAL and NTSC. 500s were really the main system for gaming if that's what you're looking for. I've even got an A590 clone so you could have extra RAM and a SCSI hard drive (optionally IDE -- probably very similar to what you have for the 1000, but I don't have RAM or a HDD for it and I'm assuming that yours would be included in the swap).

Honestly, for most games, a Gotek is probably a lot easier to work with then WHDLoad. I could probably set it up with an internal Gotek, but I'd have to source the mounting bracket.

If any of this sounds interesting, DM me and we can work something out.
