I snagged one of these about a year ago. (Not for sale.) I can say without hesitation that, like most Microbotcis products, it's freaking solid.

The case is 100% metal, not plastic like a lot of other A1000 RTCs. And as usual Microbotics actually cared about the design. Color-matched paint, and corner radii that conform to the shape of the A1000.

Pretty cool.

Any schematics / open source software for this item out there?

It looks pretty easy to reverse engineer.

I would be interested in one of these if it were reverse engineered.

Incidentally, here's a close-up of the Mouse Time, which is just a gorgeous design for an external clock.

I also have an original Mouse Time install disk, if anyone ever finds one of these and is looking for drivers.

I plan on doing a video in the next few weeks about several old-schol RTCs for Amiga 1000s Uber niche, I know, but hey - a couple of us here will find it interesting! I've collected quite a few variations over the years worth taking a closer look at.

I wonder if closeups of the internal components and back side of the board would be of use to anyone. Ideally depopulating the board would reveal exactly how it is laid out from a circuit standpoint.

Might want to back up the install disk to the archives here on the net before the media becomes unusable.
