I loved the Amiga from the first time I saw the bouncing ball demo at the computer store in our local mall. I saved and took out a loan in 1985 to buy my Amiga 1000 with 256k expansion and a Sony rgb monitor. The 1000 replaced my first computer, an Atari 800. I still have both!!

Later, I also had an Amiga 2000, but eventually sold that one.

I recently pulled the Atari 800 and the Amiga 1000 out of storage. I love both these machines!!

Hi RaiderC,

great to have you here - welcome!

Do you also have pictures of the beauties?

What did you do with the computers back then? For me it was mostly gaming and some homework.
Any special stories about your time with the computers?

For me it is always highly impressive if someone has been able to keep their original comupters. Something I never managed to do so I had to spend some extra-money to get the things back that I once appreciated ;) .

Cheers,
McT

Welcome, RaiderC! So cool how you managed to keep your machines all these years. Would love to see them, if you've got them hooked up.

See you around the site!

Here's the A1000, just cleaned the keyboard.

Interior is surprisingly clean. Opened it up to check the capacitors and the voltage out of the PSU. All look good. :D

Nice! Super clean. My first Amiga was an A500.
