Hello, I'm Matthew Arnold Stern, a technical and creative writer and public speaker. My first writing job was back in 1983 with EnTech, a company that made Studio 64 and other Commodore 64 software. I later bought my own Commodore 64 to write my term papers as I finished. The Amiga was my next step. I got an Amiga 500 in 1987. I later used it to plan our wedding. I sold it in 1991 and switched to Windows. I still have good memories of the Amiga, and it remains my favorite computer. I recently posted a novel that features the original Amiga. You can read it here for free while supplies last:

And for more about my experiences with the Amiga, I have this article on my website:

Thank you for your interest.

Welcome maswriter - thanks for joining!

Out of curiosity - do you recall the software you used to plan your wedding with the 500? That seems super niche!

Hope to hear more of your Amiga past around the site, and I'll check out your links. Thanks for sharing.

Very interesting! The Amiga is probably my favourite between the two also. Did you write technical documents for any Amiga applications we might know of?
