Nice save!

If you haven't read about it already, those SMD caps are prone to leakage so it is good to check them and or replace them.

It is funny that the through hole caps on the Amiga 1200/cd32 are harder to desolder than the SMD ones, i had the most trouble with them because of how close to the board they were and the ground plain acting like a heat sink. Your technique to attack it from the bottom of the board and the top is spot on.
