Hey all, I am just trying to figure out why this thing is going for so much. I cannot see any reason - there must be some secret that I do not know about this model?

Thanks.

I think it is the Joystick.

I guess 1200s are going through the roof. I mean they usually go for more in the USA so this is odd. But lately I have seen them approach $800-$1000.

Time to sell my PAL A1200 me thinks.

Could be a bogus bid. If you notice, most of the bids in the bid history are by the same person, and each one is ridiculously more than the next. Either that, or someone is desperate to own an A1200. There's nothing special there, just a bog-standard A1200 with a couple of games, PSU, and video cables, and fitted with a compact flash drive.

How about this gold-plated Amiga 1000? 19 watchers. You know people just want to see if someone is dumb enough...

Or fall-down drunk enough. That listing has been up there, I'm pretty sure, for a few years now.

Well over the odds for the UK. Most reasonable condition A1200's are going for around £ 300.

Yeah, that one's a classic. I think he had a printer listed for it as well, at $7999. At one time, the listing said that he would meet the buyer in person, at the police station down the street, for the exchange of funds. LOL.
