If you haven't had a chance to check out Dan Wood's YouTube review of the replacement case for the A1200, it's worth a look. The replacement case project is finally shipping a year after the Kickstarter that funded it by Philippe Lang.
This is pretty much a replica of the A1200's casing...

These look and feel every bit as good as the original Amiga 1200. These feel identical to the original cases, so they replicated that perfectly.
These cases, to be clear, are factory injection molded - not 3D printed.

Dan walks through a few minor but important improvements and minor pain points he discovered when migrating an expanded 1200. Bottom line: these cases kick ass. And if this is any indication of the quality Phillipe Lang's group can produce, the key caps project should be worth the wait, too.
