"Things just started to unravel," says Warshaw. "It's awesome to be credited with single-handedly bringing down a billion-dollar industry with eight kilobytes of code. But the truth is a little more complex."
Fascinating article about Howard Scott Warshaw, the programmer tasked with designing Atari's "E.T." in a measly 5 weeks. You can't help but feel for the guy who ultimately wrote some of Atari's biggest hits, including Yar's Revenge and Raider's of the Lost Ark.

Spoiler: he doesn't make games anymore.
