I'm currently taking apart my A1000 for the first time and cannot for the life of me figure out how to remove the daughterboard from the main motherboard.

Following a bit of documentation from this, though the pictures do not really clarify if this is from a PAL or NTSC computer.

Seems like it just lifts right off but there's too much resistance between that to be the case.

After finding a bit of information in the DKB KwikStart II Manual:
The daughter board sits to the left of the disk drive and is held in place by 3
screws. First you need to remove the screws from the daughter board.
Now, the daughter board is connected to the main mother board with
sockets on the bottom of the board that are attached to extender pins from the
mother board.
To remove the daughter board you will need to grasp it at the sides and pull
up while gently rocking it from side to side until it is disconnected from the
extender pins.

You are going to be pulling the daughterboard off (after you remove the screws) with a bit of force. It is attached to long golden pins via orange molex connectors underneath the board (that you can't see). After you've removed the necessary screws, you'll pry up on a couple of the corners. It's going to feel stuck, but it will pop off. Just be careful not to over-correct your pull as you don't want to hurt those pins.

But you should be able to figure it out, I imagine.
