I’m afraid that’s probably not the issue. The Rev 3 only requires INT2, and without it you’ll just have slow IDE.

The photo of the TF530 Rev 3 running SysInfo on my machine was actually posted with neither of those wires connected.

That’s good to know, that would have been depressing to hook those up and still be nonfunctional. Back to the drawing board I guess.

Is your kickstart adapter socket based, or does it plug in to the ROMs?

@EzdineG Its the Tux-bar kickstart switcher from Amibay, there is a board that plugs into the ROM sockets, attached to a board with the ROM's via a ribbon cable.

I've got three boards left. If you're in the States I'd gladly send you one for the price of shipping. If you're international, it would cost less to just have 10 made ($2+shipping at EasyEDA!)

@ EzdineG have you ever popped out your ROM and put in John Hertell's DiagROM in there to see what kind of diagnostics you can pull for the 1000?

I do have a few versions od DiagROM burned, but haven’t needed to diagnose a 1000 yet. Is there anything specific you’d like me to look for?

Steve, now that @intric8 has got me thinking about it, you could use DiagROM to try and sort out that TF530.

I have a version supplied by Stephen Leary that specifically lists the boot process as it applies to the TD530 via serial port, and should therefore make it easier to spot the issue with your unit. Let me know if you need a copy; you can also get it (deep) within he TF530 thread.

Not in particular. I have a GGLabs version on the way for future geekery and was just curious if you knew the difference between the tools for 1000s and the 500/2000. I know it's a smaller sample set. Either way sounds super helpful (and might help someone like Leigh, in a pinch). It's not a bad thing to have around 30-year old machines, I know that much.
