I did nothing special, total stock install from GitHub. You may have (a) bad DE-10 board, (b) bad HDMI cable, or (c) some output config set in the ARM's Linux partition set. You may want to try a fresh install on a different SD card.

I have followed this project as it seemed like a cool kit you could do yourself. Your version is awesome! Thanks for showing.

I'm replicating this build with your parts (thank you!) and it's mostly going well. I have a few minor questions:

How is the OSD button connected? It looks like it's going to the expansion headers on the I/O board (which are populated with plastic connectors on mine), but I can't find docs on the pins.

Same question for the A600 LEDs, how are they wired?

It looks like your Zero4U hub works without power for controllers etc. Mine doesn't seem to work at all, haven't tried supplying power yet (waiting to get the right connectors). Do I just have a dead board, or is it possible that it only works with power?

Any suggestions for sourcing the power switch and OSD button? I have parts lying around but I'd have to hack the plastic and the A600 case pretty severely to hammer them in. (I got my power connector in with some difficulty shaving down the printed plastic.) Just wondering if you have the numbers for the parts you used handy.

Thanks!

Aha, the pins are described on the schematic (P3DNI for buttons, P4DNI for lights):

For the pinouts of the IO board, check here.

For the A600, the anode and cathode of the LEDs have to be switched as the anode is the common wire. DOH! So I desoldered the LEDs on the A600's LED board and flipped them and soldered them back in so that I could use the cathode as the common wire to ground on the IO board.

Also, be sure to put a 200-450ohm resistor on the +5VDC line to each LED or the LED may draw too much power from the MiSTer and short it out.

As for the USB hub, make sure you are using an OTG cable from the MiSTer to the hub. I use this one.

As for the switch and buttons, I have lots of spares and can bring them for you at the next Sea-CCC or I can drop them in the mail.

Wonderful project. One question do you know if the mister can support rs 232 to connect a VBS (Video Backup System)? I don’t catch in your project if you include a serial or not but maybe is not possible or?

I don't know if it can or not. There has been some talk about doing just that up on atari-forum.com, but I don't think anyone has implemented it yet.

This is a great case solution! I need to take my Mister and put it into the spare 600 case I have doing this I think now. Well done!!

Hi mattsoft ,
I really like your build. Trying to recreate it and I am interested in various bit and bobs you mentioned (as I bought all of the bigger parts that you listed).
It would be great if you can list them.
Thanks in advance

That is a pretty neat project, Matt!

I'd like to ask a 3D-print related question: Was it hard to get all of those measurements done? Or did you use any kind of 3D-scanner? The reason I ask is because I have an unfinished Rhaspberry-PI C64 project and IF I ever continue working on it, I'll need to 3D-print a bunch of adapters too.

Thanks in advance! :)
