The Supplemental Legacy Amiga Memory (SLAM) expansion board is a non-autoconfig memory board for the Amiga 1000. It is intended to supplement the memory of an existing autoconfig memory board, and provide the computer with the full 8 MB of expansion memory.
I designed this board because I wanted more memory in my A1000 than what my 2 MB Starboard II provided. I also wanted something small and compact that would essentially be invisible when I was sitting in front of the computer. I looked into purchasing an A1000 memory board, but couldn't find anything that fit my requirements.
I have no plans to sell or make any more of these boards, so I'm releasing the Gerber files in case anyone wants to build one for himself.
If you want to see this thing in action, take a look at Eric's post.
