Hello everyone.

I am 41 years old and work as mechanic for vintage race cars. I own my Amiga 1000 since 34 years and hope to get some new infos here.

I am happy to be in the forum.

Herzlich Willkommen!!

As usual, I am curious about your „defining Amiga-moment“. Did you have one? Like a jaw-dropping moment when you thought „I must have an Amiga“ ?
I mean - how comes you eventually combined two so special hobbies? Back then, the Amiga was an awesome cutting edge machine and not retro like today. Were the vintage race cars back then already vintage.

By the way - do you have a picture of your setup?

Thanks a lot for the welcome.
After a few weeks of reading and learning what is possible today my A1000 is now in a good condition. At least for me. I upgraded and modified a few things but i tried to keep the original feel. A few minor things had to be repaired.

The two main upgrades are the RGB2HDMI and the Parceiro2 with Accelerator. I got both from David Dunklee who is in my opinion a outstanding person. His support and knowledge is far above what you can expect.

What i still have to do is repairing my 1081 Monitor, the original Tank Mouse and cleaning the keyboard (it is yellowed in the front).
