Hypothetically speaking, IF the prospects of a 64mb RAMcard were to exist ;) for the CMD RAMLink, which of the following would you prefer.

If such a crazy world were to exist, I'm a purist at heart. I'm not ashamed to say it. I'd want to preserve my original 16MB. I don't think I've ever needed more, but if I could have more I'd certainly want more because maybe it would make me ponder new ways to fill it like a crazy HDD.

What I'd personally like even more? Well... a battery backup that didn't try to hook up to some sort of small car battery. Some sort of modern, cool, tidy and clean thing (like an RTC on steroids!) that I could just plug right in there and not need to wonder if I might start a dang fire and yet protect my data if a wind storm took out my power. I currently use a UPS that's rated for 24 hours, but a legit battery would be cool in case I wanted to move the RAMlink to a different location, machine, etc.

But anyway, interesting poll!

To speak to your comment on the battery backup for the RL, what do you think of an eventual upgrade that would replace the old "car battery" with something more modern like a USB powerbank. Of course the charging circuit on the RL will need to be modified in the V3 design, but I think the convenience of being able to plug in a USB-C powerbank to maintain the ram contents would I think be worthwhile.

USB powerbank
That sounds like a HUGE upgrade over what we've all been doing, yes.
