Folks,
I have moved the site to a new VPS. As a result it may go up and down as the DNS records resolve. Keep this in mind for the next few hours if you want to create content on the site.

A little more on this.

I invested in a VPS (virtual private server) with a lot more RAM and storage. What you should see when it is done is that the site should be much faster and more responsive. It does cost more, of course, so maybe in the future I'll need to consider adding some ads in some places. But I hope it doesn't come to that, personally, because then we'd likely lose the excellent performance gains.

Also, in a few days, the plan is to also install some extra security measures on top of the site. Yesterday (and presumably today) we were getting hit by people/bots from Singapore and Netherlands, which was bringing the site down. This was soon after the Software Library was made public. I'm blocking bots from downloading things but (for now) they can crawl the site. But the amount was simply more than the old server could bear.

Once this new server is stable, the upgraded amigalove.com should be rock solid for years to come.

Site seems totally stable and fast. I will add that security layer on here later this week, which means the DNS could take a while to resolve again and could make it seem like the site is down for a few hours. But it'll be worth it to help give tools to protect the site from bad actors, DoS attacks, etc.
