I have no idea if this is a real mod, or if it is a very sophisticated mockup. I've pinged the creator/poster over on DeviantArt to try and get more info. But in the meantime, let's just feast our eyes on this, shall we?

Defender of the Crown case mod

I wonder if Jim Sachs has ever seen this?

Meh. I saw this a few months back on one of the retro facebook groups, and, I'm sure he put a lot of work into it, but, it's still pretty ugly, IMO.

Do you think it's a real thing, or a very clever digital mockup?

We've all seen "metallic" paint with shiny sparkles. I have never seen paint with black specks. Also, he blocked the cooling vents.

I think this is a mockup.

I mean, there are over the counter spray paints that attempt to do this.

But yeah - I've no idea. I reached out and am waiting to hear back. It might be a bit of both DIY and Photoshop. That dropshadow... ;)

Fleckstone paint is pretty common... I think it may have actually been in style back in the 90s :)

I‘m used to these kinds of mods.

There is a talented guy on a1k who regularly does this kind of things.

Great things to behold :) !

Glad he did :) .
