As some of you might know, I'm a big fan of the GBA1000 project; a drop-in replacement for the A1000 mainboard. Here are some photos of a build that I finished recently and that I'm particularly fond of. My apologies for the size.
All I know is a reply by Matze to my question on a1k regarding this matter.fastrobplus wrote: ↑Sat Nov 04, 2023 2:44 pmOver on A1K when they were developing the GBAPII++ for the GBA1000, GB and others allude to a version of the board that is "Local Bus" implying that it sits in the ZII slot but is somehow faster than the ZII's normal speed. Have you heard of this?
The GBA1000 project is open source (sort of) and the gerbers are wandering around on the net, so you can have your boards made yourself by any familiar PCB manufacturer. I once purchased 3 boards in Poland from Archi-tech, but their webstore currently appears to be down.
